Vets News - June 2018
The course is again in excellent condition and with the cooling down of the days, playing on the Carbrook golf course is most enjoyable. The good numbers we are getting for the Thursday competitions, which includes visitors from other clubs, is evidence that people are enjoying their rounds at Carbrook.

It will be a Stableford event with an 8 am shot-gun start. It is important that we field a formidable team for the final round. Contact Lois or Glen if you would like to contribute to the 2018 winning effort.
Tony Di Tommaso Sponsored Day
Thanks for the support provided by Tony and the Pro Shop for the Single Stableford competition conducted on Thursday 31 May. The event was well supported with a total of 124 players playing on the day. Golf shirts for the winners of the four divisions were supplied by the Pro Shop. The support of the Pro Shop is greatly appreciated by Carbrook Veteran Golfers. Sponsors like Tony Di Tommaso enable quality events with good prizes to be conducted by the Carbrook Veteran Golfers. Please support the sponsors that support us.
Congratulations to Carbrook Ladies Charity Day
The Carbrook Ladies conducted a very successful charity day on Friday 25 June. Approximately 63 ladies from Carbrook and surrounding golf clubs participated in the event. The day generated $1500.00 for the worthy Logan charity, Mission Possible. Thanks to the lady Vets members who supported the day and for the men who manned a couple of the par 3 holes and “encouraged” the participants to give generously to the charity.
Well done by the Ladies Committee.
We all need a Vets shirt, particularly when representing our club in inter-club competitions. Please contact Glen Early from the committee who will be able to fit you into the Vets “uniform”. With a subsidy from the Vets, a price of $20 applies for the first shirt purchased.
