Albert and Logan 2018 Events
The dates and venues for the 2018 Albert and Logan District Veterans Golfers Association Teams and Single (Championship) events have now been established.
To assist people, who wish to compete in these events in 2018, with planning for their attendance, details of the competition days are displayed below. It is possible that, due to unforeseen circumstances some changes may occur.

Queensland Veterans Golf Union Fees
Financial members of Carbrook Golf Club who are 55 years or over for men and 50 years or over for women are eligible to join the Carbrook Veteran Golfers. Membership costs $10.00 for the year and provides a Queensland Veteran Golf Union (QVGU) Inc card which enables veteran golfers to compete in veteran golfing competitions throughout Queensland. Membership is based on a calendar year commencing 1 January to 31 December of each year.
From 14 December 2017, last event for 2017, membership fees for 2018 may be paid. 2017 Membership fees paid between now and 14 December will only provide Carbrook Veteran Golfer membership until the last event for 2017. Facilities for 2018 membership payment will be available on 14 December.
Redland Bay 2017 Challenge
The second round of the event was conducted at Carbrook Golf Club on Friday 26 October. Carbrook Vets did win the day but unfortunately, once again, when the scores for the two-day Challenge were tallied, Carbrook Vets were narrowly defeated by the Redland Bay Golf Club Vets. It must be our turn next year?
Christmas Break up Event
On 14 December, the last event for 2017, an Elimination Ambrose competition will be followed by the presentation to the 2017 award winners and a Christmas break up lunch function. 2017 financial Carbrook Veteran Golfers will be eligible to participate in this event.
The remaining noteworthy events/competitions for 2017 and commencing 2018 are:
- 23 November – Albert and Logan District Veteran Golfers Association Inv. AGM at Carbrook (Single Stableford competition, 8.00 am shotgun start)
- 14 December – Trophy presentation/Christmas function, Lunch provided (Elimination Ambrose, 8.am Shotgun start)
- 4 January 2018 – First competition event for 2018, Single Stableford.
